Context & Objectives
FM Logistic is a global logistics leader operating in 10+ countries, with headquarters in France.
As part of FM Logistic’s broader 2030 sustainability strategy, which includes the ambitious goal of Zero severe occupational injuries, the company identified a critical need to strengthen its safety culture.
A Health & Safety (H&S) maturity assessment revealed that empowering collaborators to report near-misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions was essential to proactively prevent accidents.
Objectives
Astragal has been mandated to develop and deploy a simple, mobile-accessible reporting tool including the, at least, the following specifications:
- Enables fast, user-friendly reporting for all collaborators.
- Supports 10+ languages to ensure inclusivity.
- Adapts to country-specific safety regulations and reporting requirements.
Our Approach
Requirements collection
Conducted interviews with H&S teams in key countries (Spain, France, Slovakia) to understand local regulations, current practices, and specific needs.
Tool development
Built a custom solution on KissFlow, including translated databases and tailored workflows for authorizations and validations.
Testing & refinement
Worked closely with local "KissFlow Angels" (designated H&S champions) to test, validate, and adapt the tool to local contexts.
Rollout & training
Launched the tool globally, supported by user manuals, Q&A sessions, and targeted training for each region.
Outcomes
- Increased reporting: Significant rise in the number of near-miss and unsafe condition reports, enabling proactive risk management.
- Improved safety culture: Collaborators feel more engaged and responsible for safety, fostering a culture of prevention.
- Regulatory compliance: The tool’s adaptability ensures alignment with local H&S regulations across all countries.
- Operational efficiency: Faster incident response and resolution (e.g. maintenance team for unsafe conditions), reducing potential downtime.
- Data-driven insights: Centralized reporting provides actionable data to identify trends and implement targeted safety improvements.
